SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Contributions for this fund will come from student-raised funds from campuses, Maguire State Mission Offering, State Collegiate Conference offering, individual donations and other miscellaneous contributions. The primary criterion for a qualifying position to receive scholarship funds for Florida Collegiate Missions is that the selected position receives Cooperative Program funds from a national, state or local level. All positions must have either an IMB or NAMB project number assignment.

North American Mission Board Scholarships
Students applying to NAMB will receive from NAMB a $75 per week stipend and from the Office of Collegiate Ministries up to $500 scholarship monies to pay for their per diem, flight costs and debriefing scholarship. There will be no cap on the number of students allowed to apply for this funding.

International Mission Board Scholarships
Students applying to IMB for summer missions (more than one month service) will receive a $500 scholarship from the Office of Collegiate Ministries to assist in paying for their flight, per diem, passport/visa costs, debriefing scholarship and immunizations. Students will be assisted by the Office of Collegiate Ministries in fund raising. Positions that cost more than a TOTAL of $3000 for flight, per diem, passport/visa costs, and immunizations will need special permission to be considered in these scholarships. Students serving internationally will receive no stipend from IMB or the Office of Collegiate Ministries.  The Office of Collegiate Ministries will help coordinate fund raising upon request by students. There will be a cap on the number of students allowed to apply for this funding as determined by the mission’s committee.

Short-term Mission Trips
Students applying for short-term mission’s teams throughout the year (one to two week assignments) will receive $50 scholarship per person for the first 50 that apply each year. This is to assist in paying for their flight, per diem, passport/visa costs and immunizations
Students applying for summer short-term mission’s teams (two to four week assignments) will receive $300 scholarship per person for the first 50 that apply each year. This is to assist in paying for their flight, per diem, passport/visa costs, debriefing scholarship and immunizations.
