Interviews & Orientation

INTERVIEW
Applicants will be interviewed by a local committee made up of their BCM Director, Church Collegiate Minister, BCM Associate Director, State BCM Director/Mission’s Coordinator, BCM Intern and State Council member. After interviews, Interviewers will make recommendations for scholarship assistance and send these to the Office of Collegiate Ministries.

ORIENTATION
Students are invited to attend State Collegiate Conference in February which includes seminars with specialized training. All students applying for scholarships must attend State Mission’s Training Weekend at St. George Island Christian Retreat Center to be eligible for the scholarship assistance. Orientation Materials will be provided by the Office of Collegiate Ministries and will also be available on-line for students who are unable to attend orientation to download or read online. If students do not attend State Mission’s Training weekend, they are not eligible for scholarship funds.

COMMISSIONING
The commissioning service will be held in conjunction with State Mission’s Training Weekend at First Baptist Church, St. George Island, Florida the last weekend in March.

DEBRIEFING
Debriefing is done at Glorieta, New Mexico at National Collegiate Week the second week of August.
